ASC at Farmington can be located by traveling south 6 miles of Farmington on Bista Hwy 371 past the NAPI Headquarters. At the next intersection, turn right onto Road 3003. Travel west approximately 4 miles to the green sign, NAPI Flour Mill and ASC. Turn right onto Road 4063 and travel north 3 miles to the NMSU Agricultural Science Center.
NMSU EPS 3rd Annual Grape Day, August 13th - Las Cruces, NM,
New Mexico State University's Extension Plant Science Department will offer the 3rd Annual Grape Day. The event location is Fabian Garcia Science Center Classroom 158, 113 W. University Ave., Las Cruces, NM on August 13th, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This event is free and open to the public. Please review the Tentative Agenda for more information. Maimbo Malesu, Coordinator for the Water Management Unit with the World Agroforestry Centre based in Nairobi, Kenya, visited New Mexico State University to give two guest lectures about water and food scarcities and their mitigation in Africa. He presented a Lowenstein Lecture, arranged through the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, entitled Overcoming Food Crises: Rainwater Harvesting in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

Dr. Malesu's second lecture was with the PES Graduate Student Seminar Series. It was entitled "Sustainable Agricultural Production in Africa: Overcome Water Management Challenges from Local to Regional Scales."
